to the Fox
& Hounds, a family run local
village pub at the heart of St
Brides Major. The landlord Mark Lewis, a local man who
recognised that St
Brides Major needed its local village
pub back. Gone are the days of the restaurant, and back
are the traditional values of a true village local. The Fox
& Hounds village pub extends it's hospitality to all
those who visit whether a local from St
Brides Major or a visitor passing through.
The two
bar areas offer a slightly different experience depending
on your preference. The lower bar boasts a traditional ambience
with a wood
burning stove and comfortable sofa area for a relaxing
and cosy time by the fire. This area is accompanied by tables
to enable socialising with friends or a place to sit down
and enjoy a freshly
cooked meal from our quality menu.
The
top bar
lends itself to a more contemporary atmosphere whilst respecting
the values of a traditional
village pub. The pool
table, quiz machine, juke box and darts
board provide an invitation for a friendly competition or
a more relaxed game to pass the time, whilst enjoying our
real ale.
